Prof. ANDRZEJ TOBIS
Born in 1970 in Wieluń.
He obtained his diploma in 1995 at the Faculty of Graphics of the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, Branch in Katowice.
In 2001, he defended his doctorate at the Faculty of Painting of the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow.
Since 2017, full professor.
Currently, he runs one of the diploma painting studios at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice.
He deals mainly with painting and photography. Since 2006, he has been working on a long-term, utopian conceptual project A-Z (Educational Display Cases). Lives in Katowice.
Works in several public collections, including:
• Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw;
• Zachęta - National Gallery of Art in Warsaw;
• Museum of Photography in Krakow.

Prof. ANDRZEJ TOBIS Geboren 1970 in Wieluń. Er erhielt 1995 sein Diplom an der Fakultät für Grafik der Akademie der Bildenden Künste Krakau, Zweigstelle Katowice. 2001 promovierte er an der Fakultät für Malerei derselben Akademie. Seit 2017 ist er ordentlicher Professor. Derzeit leitet er eines der Diplom-Ateliers für Malerei an der Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Katowice. Er arbeitet hauptsächlich in den Bereichen Malerei und Fotografie. Seit 2006 arbeitet er an dem langfristigen, utopischen Konzeptprojekt A–Z (Bildungsvitrinen). Er lebt in Katowice. Seine Werke befinden sich in mehreren öffentlichen Sammlungen.
