About event
Nuclides form a fascinating world in which each chemical element represents many variants of its atom, the physical properties of which differ significantly from each other. The vast majority of them are radioactive. Chemical identity associated with radiation emission can be used in a number of applications. Imaging and therapy in medicine are certainly among the most interesting. You will learn something about them and about the preparation of radionuclides, which is the alchemists' dream of transmutation of elements fulfilled, in the following Physics Thursday.
