About event
The Minorite monastery in Prague's Old Town was founded as early as 1232. During the tour we will talk, for example:
- about the history of this order, which was founded by St. Francis of Assisi
- how this order got to the Czech lands
- about the construction of the monastery, which was also liked by the Czech monarchs
- about the coronation banquet of John of Luxembourg, which was also held in these places< br/>- and other attractions
We will visit these places together:
- the Basilica of St. James with beautiful decoration
- Gothic underground with a Christmas exhibition, which is here until the end of January
- Hall of Jan Luxemburg on the ground floor
- Coronation hall and other lounges on the 1st floor
- garden of paradise and herb garden "Hortus Angelicus"
When:
- Saturday, January 18 at 10:30 a.m.
- Sunday, January 19 at 2 p.m.
- Saturday, January 25 at 10:30 a.m.
- Saturday, January 25 at 2 p.m.
Where: in front of the Basilica of St. Jakuba, Malá Štupartská 635, Staré Město
Length: approx. 2 hours (if there is time left, we will also walk around the area).
Price: 250 CZK / 200 CZK (children, students, seniors over 65)< br/>Entrance fee to the monastery (discounted for us): 150 CZK
