The film depicts the wild and idealistic roots of Hannah during the hippies era in Copenhagen, followed by the Hedonist city of Kathmandu, where in 1968 he and his husband Ol became two first western pupils His Holiness 16. Karmapa - the first consciously reincarnating Lama Tibet, a man who has changed their lives forever.
Buddhism to the west. It depicts the way of a large woman in the foreground of a turbulent, constantly changing world, from Europe and North America, through the fall of communism in Eastern Europe and Russia, to the kidnapping of Guerilly members in South America.
It reveals how the Buddhist ideal of freedom is, in all its forms, more recent today than ever before and why everything should not be automatically considered holy.
