Promítání filmu Vyprahlé životy / Filme Vidas secas

One of the first pictures of the Brazilian film new wave. The adaptation of the novel of the same name by Graciliano Ramos tells the story of a family traveling through the sertão in the northeast of the country in an attempt to escape a wave of prolonged drought. The film and its literary original also look at the limited ability to speak about one's poverty and hardships in life if one has not received basic education.
