About event
With Provo 2.0 we take you into a world of activism, inspired by the legendary provo movement from the 60s. This program, consisting of an interactive exhibition and a compelling show with live music, tells a story that plays in the now.
Jasper, grandson of a provo founder, is central. He fights against addictions through playful actions on social media. But to remain relevant, Jasper seeks resort to increasingly extreme actions, with disastrous consequences. A action that got out of hand leads to a confrontation with the judge. In the Expo you will discover the surprising parallels between the actions of Jasper and the revolutionary ideas of the Provos.
(Inter) Actions and Dilemmas
The evening starts with an interactive exhibition, where you learn more about the contemporary actions and the impact of the Jongerenprotion movement through playful assignments afterwards. Imagine you in the story of Jasper, who can wait for his sentence in freedom. He struggles with feelings of guilt, but is he really guilty? Together with the public, he reconstructs the events and investigates who is responsible for the terrible incident.
As an audience you become Jasper's online followers. You determine: What actions do you support with your likes? How far do you go to generate attention? And if things go wrong, who bears responsibility? Whose hands sticks blood?
Live music as the driving force
The show is worn by a four -member live band. Master storyteller and rapper Dalorim Wartes brings Jasper's story to life with a powerful mix of electronics, punk, hip-hop, garage rock and multicolish years of sixty music.
The evening ends with a follow-up discussion in which you will be in conversation with the Cast for everyone from the performance.
