About event
🦮 Come to our cinema with your best four-legged friends. Panda the dog, the main animal hero of the movie WHAT'S LEFT OF LOVE won the Palm Dog, the most prestigious canine film award at the Cannes Film Festival, for his captivating acting performance. You and your canine friends will appreciate its unmistakable role, for which a small snack will be prepared.
🇮🇸 Just as purple heather blooms in autumn on the picturesque Icelandic highlands, Magnus and Anna's relationship comes to a bittersweet end. The vast meadows are a big inspiration for Anna's art, while Magnus, as a fisherman for hire, deals with the elemental sea for much of the year. Moments spent together with three teenage children and a dog fill with subtle tension. However, with the passage of time, regrets are replaced by reconciliation, and disputes can suddenly be viewed with humor and understanding. Director Hlynur Pálmason shows with his unique filmmaking poetics how much value can remain from love, even when everything seemed to be gone.
