About event
The aim of the course is to provide graduates with a comprehensive
view of overweight and obesity management in primary
care with an emphasis on the psychological determinants
of the emergence and maintenance of overweight.
The educational module is intended mainly for general practitioners
who will provide practical information, procedures, methods
and techniques for making the management of overweight and obese patients more effective and supporting primary prevention.
Education program:
Introduction to the psychology of obesity
Psychosomatic and emotional aspects of overweight and obesity
Psychological barriers to weight loss and lifestyle change
Motivation and support of the patient in lifestyle change
Complex approach in the management of overweight and obesity
Psychotherapeutic approaches in the management of overweight and obesity
Practical tools and techniques of CBT and their integration into primary
care - case studies.
7 CME credits will be assigned to the education.

She studied psychology and scientific human nutrition. He is currently working on a new interdisciplinary field - nutritional psychology, which examines the relationship between nutrition and psychological health and how psychological factors influence our eating
habits. As part of his practice, he works with clients who are overweight, obese and have eating disorders.
Mgr. Eva Klanduchová, PhD.
She works as an assistant professor at the Faculty of Psychology of the Pan-European University, where she researches the psychological and behavioral aspects of overweight and
obesity. She is the author of the intervention program SlimACADEMY, which focuses on psychological interventions within the complex management of obesity. She is a participant of training in cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy and a graduate of training in schema therapy.
