The band "Ugly Hurons" was founded in Hermsdorf in 1987. The band originally consisted of Tom and Mike, who founded the Ugly Hurons together with Basti and Hans. Peter, who later founded the HC band Ulrike on the nail, was also involved.
The Ugly Hurons initially played primarily at parties and in rehearsal rooms, especially with friendly bands in the area. They gave their first official concert on September 25, 1989 as the opening act of cold front in Hermsdorf. After the turn, it got a little quieter around the band, but there were always reunion concerts, and since 2010 the Ugly Hurons have been permanently active again.
The band has released several albums, including "Flux -compensated" (2012), "Pils Pub in" (2016), "Fresst Petersilie ..." (2020) and "Proud to be ugly" (2023).
In addition to their music, the Ugly Hurons are also known for their live appearances, which are often accompanied by a mixture of punk rock, ska and wind players, according to their own statement.
