The third edition of the Punk festival in Záhrad will once again bring the top names of the Czech-Slovak punk scene to Banská Bystrica. Hardcore, underground and honest rock'n'roll.
Zeměžluč is a legendary hc punk band from Brno. Its creation is estimated around 1986, so this year it celebrates its fortieth anniversary. The band played hundreds of concerts and festivals throughout Europe. He has several albums to his credit (the last one was released in May of this year) and, among other things, two split EPs together with Davova Psychóza. In addition to music, the band is also characterized by high-quality lyrics and even better concerts.
At first glance, it might seem that the Ostrava band Degradace has already seen its best days. However, the opposite is true. Rock'n'roll in their performance, even after a quarter of a century, has not lost its youthful energy and joy. They are rarely seen in Slovakia, so we are glad that they accepted the invitation to the Garden.
Lyricist, composer and multi-instrumentalist Denis Bango is currently more popular under the name Fvck_Kvlt. Connoisseurs of quality underground, however, know him from the band The Wilderness. The band has been active since 2011 and is still among the best that contemporary punk has produced. In the texts, they deal with criticism of society, religion, philosophical considerations, or moral dilemmas. The indisputable quality of the lyrics is supported in the songs by the raw guitar sound and the characteristic Trnava dialect.
Sistem Erorr is a hc punk band from Prešov and, apart from the name, it has no faults. Straightforward lyrics and catchy choruses, complemented by the energetic performance of the band, always guarantee a high-quality concert experience.
