We invite you to the exhibition of Daniela Olejníková's illustrations from 15.4. to the premises of the Košice Youth Library.
The curator of the exhibition is Boris Vaitovič.

Marek Vadas is one of the most translated Slovak authors and Daniela Olejníková is one of the most outstanding illustrators of her generation, also awarded the prestigious Bologna Ragazzi Award. Open day.
Escape🧑🏾🦱
A charming book about a little runaway who is looking for his father and a place to find peace. However, the adventure story is also an opportunity to look into the world of people for whom traveling across vast territories is a necessity of life, especially at a time when civilizational movements have become the number one topic in our country as well. Thanks to the combination of Marek Vadas' imaginative text and Daniela Olejníková's illustrations, seemingly distant, exotic countries and their people are revealed to us, but they are actually much closer than we thought.
Cruel Marta🐥
Do you like playing with animals? Admit it, who among you has ever pulled the cat by the tail? Our heroine is very fond of such things, which is why the animals at her grandmother's house called her Cruel Marta. The book takes you to your grandmother, where there is a yard full of animals. They are preparing a big surprise for Marta.
Open house day🦒
Open house day is always a great celebration. All the more so if it is a ZOO. All the animals are properly preparing for it and the whole city is on its feet. In the end, things do not go according to plan, but children have the opportunity to learn vital skills and discover that freedom is not only the most precious thing, but also the funnest thing in the world.
Printing of the displayed illustrations was provided by the graphic studio Copyvait, the exhibition is organized by the Košice bookstore Artforum and the Košice Youth Library and is part of the children's book festival Punktík 2026🥳
