About event
Premiere of the professional theater the Chaika - a performance for the whole family
🪶 PUSHKIN AND MONEY
How much did a glass of wine and a cab ride cost in Pushkin’s time? How much did they pay for one line of “Eugene Onegin” - and could the poet afford a luxurious life?
This lively and witty performance-dialogue reveals Pushkin from an unexpected side: not as a bronze monument, but as a man with debts, passions, love of freedom and the ability to pay for the right to be himself.
The light play form, humor, acting energy of GITIS graduates - all this makes the performance interesting for both adults and teenagers. You will leave not only with a smile, but also with an unexpected feeling of closeness to Pushkin and his era.
