Bratislava's churches and orders hide many stories, secrets and historical treasures. This Christmas season, we will go on a tour of their nativity scenes together.
Together we will visit three different churches, get to know their stories and the history of the orders associated with them. And in each of them we will also look at their nativity scene. There will also be a story of how it all started with displaying the nativity scene.
Which places will we visit during the tour?
- The tradition of creating a nativity scene in the church is connected with the Franciscans. That's why we will start our journey with them.
- The Church of Our Lady of Loreto (Uršulín) is located nearby. This order is related to education. However, their church will also tell us a completely different story.
- Finally, we will visit the Capuchins on Župno námestí, whose nativity scene even moves and is one of the oldest in Bratislava.
We will stay in each church for about 20-30 minutes, moving between them on foot.
During the tour, it is necessary to follow the guide's instructions.

PRICE: EUR 5/person
The capacity of the group is limited, the ticket must be purchased in advance.
The price does not include the entrance fee to the church. The entrance fee is voluntary (recommended at least EUR 1/person in each church), as a contribution to the maintenance of these national cultural monuments and thanks for allowing entry.
WHO IS THE TOUR FOR:
The tour is intended for families with children and anyone interested in the history of Bratislava orders, churches and traditions nativity scene.
The tour will be adapted to a children's audience.
Children can only take the tour accompanied by a parent/adult.
The tour is not barrier-free!
In addition to this event, on 27/12/2025 and 30/12/2025 at 2:00 p.m. they will conduct specialized tours of the Beautiful Nativity Scene and the Franciscan Church. The tour takes place in any weather.
Purchased tickets cannot be returned.
