qrt: Sign, Zombie, Teqno - a necrological
screening in the presence of the director Manuel Stettner and the producer Sobo Swobodnik, followed by QNA! Existence of the 90s in Berlin, asleep and aimlessly analyzing the topics of the time. From punk and techno, heroes and saints, comic and film, philosophy and performance. Made yourself to the subject of a radical life, too close, too intensive.

This documentary approaches QRT's life and designs an anecdotal biography using interviews with QRTS friends who look back on their time together up to QRT's tragic drug death ’96. To this end, excerpts from his toves are presented posthumously at Merve, a theoretical publisher.

This film is not a truth search, but a necrologist. QRT itself becomes a zombie that resumes again and is haunted by the film, in the spirit of the zombology he developed, which should replace the anthropology.

"What a film! A homage to the rebellious Berlin of the 90s, a cinematic monument to an eccentric, almost forgotten artist, the destructive hedonism and the excessive life and for everyone Night -wing zombies in Spe. Soo Swobodnik, author and filmmaker

“half prolet, half prophet: film about QRI and the Berlin of the 90s.” Deutschlandradio Kultur

"Konradin Leiner, short qrt, is a Berlin legend of the late 1980s. In 1996 he died of an overdose of heroin ... In this existentialist essay we get another impression of why Berlin has become such a subcultural legend before the fall of the wall, accompanied by the noise of the collapsing new buildings and the tear gas of the Kreuzberger Demos. " Deadline Kinomagazin

“Oskar Roehler remembers the wolf -track coat. Screenwriter Horst Markgraf has it with a leather jacket and black briefcase in his head. The Berlin philosopher and artist QRI (pronounced:" Kurt "), who died in 1996 by an overdose heroin, not only striked the clothes. What distinguished him was his fast, sharp, analytical thinking, the idiosyncratic way he was theorized about the topics and trends of time. ” Cineville
