About event
Quasars Ensemble closes its concert year with a program that combines generational variety and exceptional personalities of contemporary music.
The jubilant septuagenarian Toshio Hosokawa offers in Stunden-Blumen a meditation on time and fragile sound poetry, while the legendary oboe virtuoso and innovative composer Heinz Holliger reveals the fascinating world of wind virtuosity in his (t)air(e). Flute art in the full range of colors will be presented by the evening's guest, Swiss flautist Gregory Chalier.
Rebecca Saunders' strong, physical sound language will be heard in her evocative work Bite, young composers Tomáš Kobielsky (premiere of Conversations) and Samuel Čamák (Wilkie) will bring fresh energy and original poetics of a new generation to the last concert of the season of our renowned ensemble.
