Queer Fantasy Books Event

(german below)

Registration is only for the book discussion. For the book swap, you can just come by :)

As part of Lina’s MA thesis on readers’ engagement with queer fantasy books she’s organizing a free event at Kanopi on July 9th – part book swap, part book discussion.

Lina’s thesis focuses on themes of queerness in fantasy books, reader’s engagement with books, utopias and dystopias, and reading communities. She'll be using observations from this event as part of her research. All participants will be fully anonymized.

PART 1: First, there will be a book swap on the theme of queer fantasy book from 17:30-18:30. Feel free to bring books you would consider queer fantasy or just come browse and chat.

PART 2: At 18:30, we will start with a book club style discussion of She Who Became the Sun by Shelley Parker-Chan – you can order it in the shop. The discussion will be in German or in English, depending on the participants.

Please register for the book discussion. For the book swap you don’t need to register, just come by :)
