About event
The commented walk will begin at the Artivist Lab Gallery, where the exhibition will be pioneering identities dedicated to the painter and trans wife Toni Ebel (1881-1961), followed by places in Prague's Queer History of New Town, the Old Town and Malá Party and end the walk on Maltese Square, where Toni Ebel and his partner Charlotte Charlaque lived. Toni Ebel underwent one of the first gender affirmative interventions at the Magnus Hirschfeld Institute in Berlin, where she fled to Czechoslovakia in 1934. Here she lived first in Karlovy Vary, then in Brno and finally in Prague. After the war, she was expelled as a German to East Germany.
