From spring 2024, the exhibition of the National Museum of 20th Century History will be supplemented with objects commemorating the past of LGBTIQ+ people from the collections of the Society for Queer Memory. In the criminal code of Austria-Hungary, the so-called homosexuality was a criminal offense in the first republic, protectorate and post-war Czechoslovakia, although it was decriminalized in 1961, it was still subject to discrimination and blackmail by the labor market, repressive institutions and public health institutions. The exhibition's author Dr. Tomáš Kavka and historian of the Society for Queer Memory dr. Ladislav Jackson.
