About event

Slow down and sink into stillness.

This time of year asks us to slow down, pull inward, get cozy, rest, and dream, yet our culture is overly focused on consumerism, parties, big meals, and shopping sprees. If this time of year leaves you feeling drained, you’re not alone. Reclaim and rename this time of the year for yourself. It is a powerful move to reject cultural norms, and listen to the rhythm of nature, of late autumn, of the body and spirit. This special workshop blends the healing power of Yin Yoga (a meditative practice of long-held, passive stretches) with grounding rituals designed to relax your body, calm your nervous system, and take the space and quiet you are craving.

Yin yoga is a slow form of practice that includes passive stretches on the mat that are held for 3-5 minutes, in order to release tension, stretch the muscles and connective tissues, and provide emotional release. This type of practice is especially good for nervous system reset and regulation, which can assist with symptoms related to anxiety and insomnia, and can counter the negative effects of stress on the mind and body.

Whether you're craving rest, reconnection, or a moment of peace, this workshop offers a sanctuary of self-care.

What to Expect:
A lesson on the nervous system and the Yin approach
Conversation on living seasonally
Reflective journaling and time to share in community
Nervous-system-supportive herbal tea (hand-blended and brewed by Heather)
A deeply grounding, juicy yin yoga session to close
