About event
Radim Vizváry: Mime on the Moon
The solo production of Radim Vizváry
on freedom, loneliness and dreams. It includes not only lyrical pantomime, but also physical theater, object manipulation or comedy acting. The whole is a picture of contemporary pantomime, in which the author emphasizes an economical expedition, minimalist gesture and clarity. Radim Vizváry is based on inspirational sources of traditional repertoire from ancient predecessors to Deburaua, Keaton, Marceau to Hybner, and not only renews this tradition. In his light as if the fragile soul of the Pierot, and above all the world around him looked a little different, as if not only his poetics, but also weaknesses, human wandering, vices and social ailments were revealed. After all, who is Pierot today? It is no longer a Deburauem in a white flowing costume, nor a mime with a painted tears at the eye. He is a lyric and a torn, a poet of the body that tells stories of a timeless language. He is attracted by the full moon, depriving him of the earth's weight. And then, the monthly landscape becomes its dream territory for learning itself, a place without pretense and social mask. Far from all of them suddenly see the true state of things and loneliness becomes a state of mind, freedom to be yourself. Sedláček

Production: Ilona Š Hájková
