Radio Ivo: Život nedoceníš

The play Life you don't appreciate directed by Romana Bohunská and its next reprise with a new theme. Expressive civility and sound realism in slow tempo. Normal stories from life. Embarrassed performers give a quite sovereign performance.

Rádio Ivo was created as an attempt to transfer a radio play to the stage without any transformation or previous text. Only with the possibility of seeing its creation. Since 2006, Rádio Ivo has played more than 150 completely improvised radio plays, both in the theater and live on the radio (Vltava, Radio 1, Radio Wave, Slovak Radio). In 2009, the studio play Would you have twenty minutes? won the international radio prize Prix Bohemia. An exception to the usual full-length story format was the short story play Duch doby for Cabaret v Eter of the Vltava station. Rádio Ivo also collaborates with other artists: this is how the play 100 years live was created on Slovak Radio together with the Gasperego Theater, performances with the actors of the Theater in Dlouhé and other guests (Aňa Geislerová, Marek Daniel, Ventolin, Zuzana Fuksová, Robert Mikluš, James Cole, Michal Pěchouček, Tomáš Jeřábek, Prokop Holoubek, Madla Bažantová, František Škanta).

The special project was a joint performance with the SkRAT Theater and guest Aňa Geislerová, Shadow of Doubt, which is part of the repertoire of the Bratislava scene A4 - zero space. From a certain time, all performances are recorded. Most of them can be listened to and downloaded on Soundcloud or on the website and Spotify podcast of Czech Radio Radio Wave, where Rádio Ivo regularly performed (and where stylized mystifying accompanying texts were a significant part of the games). Other permanent stages are or were Studio Hrdinů, MeetFactory, Kavárna Praha, Kabinet múz and HaDivadlo. From 2022, Rádio Ivo will be a guest in the Vzlet cultural space.

The acting trio consists of members of Czech alternative theater groups - Petr Marek is a founding member of the improvisational Decadent Theater Beruška, musical groups Midi Lidi, Monikino Kino, Muzikant Králíček, Kakaduo, film director (in cinemas Love from above, If it wasn't today, Nothing against nothing), the author of the radio mystery talk show Dospelý večer. He is a guest at Vosto5 and Studio Ypsilon theaters and occasionally does stand-up. Johana Ožvold (formerly Švarcová) comes from the Dno Theater in Králové Hradec, she was a member of the Kazety musical group, she is the author of radio plays, a film actress (Nic proti ničemu, The Greatest of Bohemia), director (The Sound Is Innocent) and occasional presenter. Together with Petr, they play to dance from time to time as the Disjockes and perform as a comic duo, the Brückner Brothers. Marian Moštík was a member of the improvisation theater V Soukolí, played in the Brno HaDivadlo, the Bratislava SkRAT Theater and in several films (Nothing Against Nothing, Cesta do Rím). All three also perform together in the collective all-stars band of Moravian improvisational theaters Láhor/Soundsystem.
