It happened four hundred years ago in Radošin, when the unfaithful woman was suddenly left by Maria Poljaková, her husband - a strange guy Mack Poljaka - and fled to Trnava. In the village, which was then the city, it caused an unprecedented stir at that time, especially because a similar situation could be repeated in other houses! And so the frightened mayor Radošina sent her friend in the footsteps of Poljak, the old girl Eel Vlasákova, to find an unfaithful woman in Trnava and bring back to the village. So much authentic letter from the Trnava City Archives from 1548. And so he travels over the years, but also centuries and suddenly he meets not only famous and interesting historical personalities, but also passed pilgrims, first workers on his endless way of seeking, and leads passionate interviews (Dr. Jássenius, Napoleon Bonaparte, Anton Bernolák, Ján Hollý, Ľudovít Štúr, Jozef Miloslav Hurban, Michal Hurb. Adela Ostrolúcka, Andrej Sládkovič, Marína, Anicka Jurkovičová, Jonáš Záborský, Svetozár Hurban Vajanský, Mikoláš Aleš, worker and worker in the factory, P. O. Hviezdoslav, Jozef Murgaš, etc.).
He meets them not in a well -known historical form. They are talking to them just when our greats - and similar - are looking for, doubt when they are ordinary, vulnerable people, which, of course, brings a number of unexpected, surprising and especially comic situations in the production. An important component of the production are the songs of Ján Melkovič (and other composers) in the interpretation of the present live music group, the singing and dance ensemble RND.
The game As we were looking for, which Stanislav Štepka wrote on the basis of an authentic letter from 1584, had the first premiere in 1983 at the Trnava Theater directed by Juraj Nvota (RND had the second premiere in 2003). And Juraj Nvota is also the director of the new, modified, complemented by the latest version of Štepková's poetic game.
And because the ideas of our national journey and the search for identity are still extremely topical in our society, we decided to introduce the game in our theater - in the new current author and directorial form.
The premieres will take place in RND 8. and 9 November 2024.
