About event

Pedagogical publishing house INFRA Slovakia invites you to a new webinar with clinical speech therapist Mgr. Daniela Hudecová and Dr. Marek Polák, PhD. - the head of the department of electrophysiology at MED-el Innsbruck, Austria and their guest Dr. Diana Zegg from MED-el Innsbruck, Austria.

On Wednesday 12 November 2025 (18.00 – 20.00).

Hearing impairment is one of the most common sensory disorders.
In a child of an early age, it negatively affects the acquisition of spoken language, cognitive and social development, as well as communication with hearing family members. Auditory perception is crucial especially in the early development of a child. Early identification of hearing impairment and subsequent early intervention can significantly reduce its negative consequences on the child's overall development.

The goal of the webinars to continue: Early intervention for children with hearing impairments I (11/12) and Early intervention for children with hearing impairments II. (November 26) is to emphasize the importance of newborn hearing screening, early intervention and interdisciplinary cooperation of experts in the care of children with hearing disorders - always in close cooperation with the family. By working together, it is possible to improve the quality of the child's life and support his full integration into the society of hearing people.

The webinars will also offer answers to the following questions:

1. What does the Slovak stimulation program created for parents of children with hearing impairment look like, which strengthens their role as the "main supporter" of the child's communication?
2. How do auditory areas in the brain and auditory pathways develop in the newborn period?
3. What are the principles of language development in a child with hearing impairment at an early age and what impact do hearing abilities have on the quality of his life?
