🎉Christmas and New Year in Bratislava have their own charm, which combines historical traditions with modern life. Did you write a letter to Jesus? Let's take a closer look at how Christmas and the New Year used to be celebrated - how our parents, our grandparents' parents experienced them and what differences existed between the city and the countryside. Together we will revive customs and traditions.
Bratislava, as the capital, has always been the center of cultural and social events, and this was also evident during the Christmas and New Year celebrations. The streets were alive with Christmas markets, which in the past offered not only food and drink, but also small gifts and decorations. The atmosphere was completed by street carols and lanterns that illuminated the snow-covered streets.
During our walk, we will talk about where some symbols of Christmas come from, when Christmas trees, snowmen, markets or nativity scenes appeared. We will look at what must not have been missing from the holiday tables of our ancestors, we will find the answers to why we clean our rooms so thoroughly before the holidays and the New Year. reminds of the legend about the knight Roland.
🎁 And what about gifts? Of course we won't forget them! We can symbolically exchange them - make something nice, draw a picture or give a smile before the meeting. After all, the gift is not only about Christmas.

At the end of our Date with the city, we wish a happy new year, so that it will be full of joy, health and peace. We would like to thank you for the small gifts that will remind us of beautiful traditions, the shared festive
atmosphere of Bratislava, the importance of family and meeting loved ones.
