A cycle of thematic walks and getting to know Bratislava aimed at children and families, this time on the topic Road to Freedom.
Once upon a time there was a country where people could not say what they thought out loud. They could not paint the pictures and write the books they wanted. Some books were even banned and people risked severe punishment when they read them. They could not meet whomever they wanted and could only travel where they allowed them to. It is not a country from a sad fairy tale, it is Slovakia during the communist regime. Despite this, many did not give up and secretly or publicly worked so that we could live in freedom one day. Visitors will learn why people went on trips to the mountains with backpacks full of books, that secret agents are not only in movies and that even an ordinary lit candle can cause a revolution.
