✨ Morning exercises in the Zen Center at Letná 43, Košice ✨
💠 The heart of the Zen School Kwan UM is practice. Every moment we return to our original nature, which exists before thoughts. Our founding teacher, Zen master Seung Sahn, called it simply: "I don't know." This means opening up to every moment, to clearly perceive and act with natural compassion and wisdom.
Zen Centers of the Kwan UM Zen School around the world offer women's meditation training through meditation instructions, day morning and evening meditation, public lectures, teaching interviews, retreates, workshops and community life. Our programs are open to everyone regardless of previous experience. Our desire is to help human beings to find their true direction and contribute to the improvement of this world. Fb)

🌿 The natural consequences of practice
💭 Introspection as such is not the goal of practice, because the goal is not to analyze your thoughts, but rather to free them-to return to the original mind that is not bound by concepts and thought processes. Practice, it can naturally bring introspective insights. This means that although the practitioner consciously does not try to be introspection, it may happen that his thoughts, feelings and motivations begin to be more aware of. This effect is not the primary intention of the experience, but the side consequence of regular practice. This includes the evaluation of why we do certain things and how our assumptions and beliefs affect our actions. In this way, we can get a clearer picture of who we are and what motivates us. This deepens our self -knowledge.
🛤 Introspection is a tool for spiritual growth and self -knowledge. It helps us to discover deeper aspects of our identity and our life goals. It can also help in solving personal problems and conflicts when we think about how we feel and why this is happening. This process can detect new perspectives and approaches to troubleshooting. These are just side effects. The real effect of practice is to get to know your true nature and help all living beings.
🌀 When the mind calms down, you begin to see more clearly. When you clearly see, you can act correctly. And the right action means helping others - not of the necessity, not of the duty, but naturally, as the moon illuminates the night sky without trying. You think the world is blurry, gray and full of uncertainties. Then one day you will clean them - and everything is suddenly clear, clean, natural. Zen's practice does not mean to gain something, but to remove what covers your natural clarity.
When the mind clarifies, the questions disappear. When the questions disappear, there is nothing to deal with. And when there is nothing to deal with, you can only act - right, with clarity and compassion. That's Zen. Not big words, not theories, but to be present and answer the situation right at any moment.
So if you ask: What is the main goal of Zen's practice? focuses on deep concentration and work with the mind. When the meditating sits in the position of a lotus or semi -semicosal sitting, the hands laid in the wise, the back straight.
🎯 The main goal of the experience is to calm the mind, to achieve a state of inner silence and clarity. Attention is focused on breath or on a specific point, such as observation of natural breathing rhythm. In the case of the Meditating, the meditating tries not to reveal or identify the ideas that appear, but rather to let them go and return to the breath and the present moment.
