About event
Immortal Jewish songs of past centuries.
Enter the world of Café Arco, where chansonist Renata Drössler and her jazz band revive the magic of Jewish culture in Central Europe. In this new musical odyssey, Renata, together with first-class jazz musicians, sails through history and brings new life to songs whose roots sometimes go back centuries. With every note and word, Café Arco promises listeners not only beautiful, breathtaking melodies, but also empowering experiences that span generations and borders.
Look forward to a one-of-a-kind performance featuring almost two dozen fascinating adaptations of the original Jewish songs. Each of them is transformed into a modern jazz outfit with respect for tradition and with the determination to preserve this rich cultural heritage for present and future generations.
Immerse yourself in the atmosphere of Café Arco, a program inspired by the legendary Prague café of the same name, which was once a center of Jewish-German-Czech culture and art. This program forms a spiritual oasis where history is combined with a modern concept, immortal songs are reborn, ready to restore their place in the cultural heritage and in the hearts of contemporary listeners.
