Topics: Sustainability, Crafts
About event
Not every garment needs a major makeover. Sometimes a small intervention is all it takes to make a favorite piece stay in your wardrobe longer.
At Repair HUBe, we are dedicated to minor adjustments and repairs to clothing. It's not about complete redesigns, but about practical interventions that extend the life of things you already love.
With this regular format, we want to support craft, clothing care, and skills that were once naturally passed down in families, workshops, and neighborhoods. Repair HUB is a place where we learn to look at clothing not as a disposable product, but as a thing that can be cared for.
What repairs and alterations we accept:
– shortening pants, skirts or dresses
– replacing a zipper on pants, skirts or dresses
– replacing a torn button
– sewing up a torn seam
Each case is assessed by the seamstress separately. The visitor can pick up the repaired or modified piece at the next date of the Repair HUB.
When: Thursday, 14:00 – 18:00
Where: LUMó HUB, Trenčín
When it takes place: always the first three weeks of the month
Note: Open HUB does not take place on the last week of the month.
Bring a piece that can still be to serve.
Entrance is free — come at any time.
