🕴The production of American Psycho develops and re-interprets the cult work through the raw and acknowledged emotionality, vulnerability and crisis of the main anti-hero - the banker Patrick Bateman.

🪪His iconic he refutes statements like "I simply am not there", "Inside doesn't matter" or "There is no real me, only an entity, something illusory" by trying to dive into the soul of a young man in the vortex of modern social and relational trends, archetypes and hierarchies. The production does not offer a character study or a social drama, but brings to the stage the perspective of a man - his feelings, insecurities, weaknesses and hopes, but above all his disgust, frustration, anger and hatred leading to violent personal radicalization. The characters are not a reliable image of reality - they are an interpretation of his mind, they are a construct created by social consciousness, they are the first association, they are what appears on the surface and provokes, challenges, ridicules, irritates and makes you hate.

The creative team tries to elevate the black grotesque, which returns to the original novel by the principle of film adaptation. This is primarily a confession of hopelessness and personal evil born in a person. The basic key of the re-interpretation is also the modern "sigma" culture and the crisis of masculinity, which, however, is viewed from the position of a man: problematic, doubtful, parched. Despite the fact that this man at first sight does not deserve to be heard, the decision is to hear him without mocking, fetishizing and justifying him. What he feels, what he thinks about, and what he wants to do is the content of the minds of many young men who cannot control themselves. Averting your eyes does not get rid of the intensity with which they look at you.
