SIGN LANGUAGE WORKSHOP FOR MEDICAL PRACTITIONERS AND STUDENTS OF MEDICAL FIELDS - rescueDEAF.

PROGRAM:
1. part 30 min introduction to the world of the deaf and hard of hearing, principles of communication with a deaf patient
2. part: 100 gestures for basic communication, patient examination and treatment, history taking
3. part: model situations, communication training with a helper and in pairs

The goal is to spread awareness about the basics of communication with the deaf and hard of hearing, basic gestures for taking an anamnesis, for quality examination and treatment of the patient, setting up treatment or arranging a control.

GUIDE: you will receive an online manual with 100 basic gestures that we will cover for FREE at the workshop, as well as a worksheet where you can write notes.

The event is organized thanks to the support of the SPP Foundation within the 3rd round of the Partnership Support Program 2023 in the rescueHENDIKEP project. The activity is part of the INFA (Inclusive First Aid) project of Samaritan International.

On the occasion of March 3 - World Hearing Day, with the aim of raising awareness of hearing loss prevention and promoting ear care. The initiative of the World Health Organization (WHO) emphasizes that early diagnosis, protection against noise and treatment can significantly improve the quality of life.
