Ausstellungseröffnung: Resonanz. Wenn Klang zum Bild wird

“Resonance. When sound becomes an image” combines the arts of music and photography and their ability to make the soul vibrate.

The exhibition “Resonance. When sound becomes an image” in the Leica Gallery Vienna shows a special view: Wilfried Hedenborg is a violinist both as a soloist and as a member of the Vienna Philharmonic and his photography depicts his personal approach to music and the work in the orchestra.

From the center of the orchestra in his role as first violin, he captures artistic processes and thus not only brings together the specific qualities of both arts, but also offers intimate insights into a community that is characterized by mutual trust and high sensitivity. As in music, photographic work also follows a clear principle: to serve art without putting itself in the foreground. The camera becomes an extension of the eye, just as the violin and bow become an extension of the arm and hand.
