Hello floating world,
If you still don't have plans for New Year's Eve, we propose something very special:
Trencin, Slovakia, the old medieval capital, is, from 2026, the European capital of culture, and from December street events, shows, concerts and others start in this context, especially on New Year's Eve when it will officially start.
Proposed program:
- water rides on the Vah river, right through the historic center
- visiting the city which has many tourist attractions, the medieval castle of the kingdom between the Vah river and the Tatra mountains
- visits to the other two neighboring capitals, Vienna and Bratislava joined by the Danube (about 1-2 hours away from Trencin)
- hiking in the Mala Fatra natural park which offers us spectacular views
- many tourist attractions in the surroundings, medieval castles and fortresses or trails of nature.
Price 2250 lei, accommodation with breakfast included, 5 nights, 6 days between December 29th and January 3rd.
The accommodation also provides us with cooking space, if we want to host together.
We can organize the transport between us to share the costs, the journey is quite long, between 9 and 12 hours, but very beautiful.
