About event

The Spring of Nations, or the Year of the Revolution, hit L.P. 1848 almost all of Europe. The barricade fights in Prague during the revolutionary year of 1848 lasted only a few days, yet they had a significant impact on the history of the city and the fate of its inhabitants.

The walk will take you to places associated with the June Uprising. It will commemorate the brotherhood mass on Wenceslas Square, the clashes in Celetná Street and the events connected with the Hrzánské Palace, where the military headquarters was located. Participants will also visit the Old Town Hall, the Klementin courtyard and the Old Town Bridge Tower, where some of the fiercest battles took place. The interpretation will also include lesser-known interesting facts about the June Uprising, its actors and personalities who influenced the events of that time.
