About event
Richard Galliano «New York Tango Trio»
Richard Galliano, the renowned accordionist, returns to Portugal to present his new project, «New York Tango Trio». A show composed of compositions by Astor Piazolla and Richard Galliano.
«The jazz approach of Novo Tango like that of Novo Musette has always been obvious to me. Jazz, Musette, Tango all feed on the same ingredients, related to dance, strong melodies, precise and refined harmonies. The most important thing is style (according to Astor Piazzolla). In the presence of Adrien Moignard (guitar) and Diego Imbert (double bass), we will approach this repertoire of Novo Tango and Nova Musette with a jazz approach, playing each concert in a totally free way, sometimes far from the score, but never from the soul of the music. composer.' - Richard Galliano
