About event
Riefenstahl
r. Andres Veiel
Germany, 2025, 120 min., Czech subtitles, MP15
Leni Riefenstahl is considered one of the most controversial personalities of the 20th century and the top representative of Nazi film propaganda. Her films Triumph of the Will and Olympia embody the stylized worship of the cult of the body and the celebration of superiority, victory, while at the same time expressing contempt for the imperfect and weak. The aesthetic perception that Riefenstahl codified is more widespread today than ever before - but is this also true of the underlying message of her films?
