We invite to the river of all who wish to re -connect with the stream of life and express the respect of the water.
~ In a dance measured to a measure of this event and the place on the banks of the Nitra River, we embody a new, respecting access to the water and ourselves. Our performance will be entering: into the river and ourselves.
~ We associate with the global Global Water Dances initiative to lift a wave of interest in water protection, along with other people who will dance on more than 120 places on the planet on this day.
~ Why do we dance for the Nitra River? It is still the most polluted river in Slovakia.
It was our interventions, unconsciousness and neglect that led here here - and it can be our humility, respect and change of attitude that can create space for the renewal of the river and the surrounding environment.
Come with us to spin a whirlwind of positivity that cleans our water, intentions and relationships. Art. Dominika Belanská. It will be presented here in the author's music, singing and dance role, together with the team composed of: Jaroslava Andrášiková, Katarína Sokolová, Andrej Tomášik (dance) and Vladimír Dávid (violin). Hana Foltán Jurenková. The present audience will also have the opportunity to join the common dance for the Nitra River. Moderated by Erika Bridová and Ján Vingárik.
Join the worldwide dance ceremony for water! June 2025 at 13:00 in the City Park in Prievidza
We will meet on the banks of the river ~ behind the bridge at the minigolf turn in the direction of Bojnice. We meet on Thursday, June 12 at 4:30 pm (meeting on the bridge over the river near the mini golf). You can bring flowers as a gift to the river. The action takes place directly on the shore, behind the bridge towards Bojnice turn left along the unpaved path.
Everyone is welcome! We are looking forward to a diverse group of large and small viewers and spectators who connect interest in dance, water, health and the environment.

Based on our individual experiences as well as collective ceremonies since. 2020 we discover the possibilities of creative cooperation with water, through body and voice.

for Decades, River Nitra Has Been (MIS) Managed, Rerouted, ReguLaded and Heavily Polloted, and In 1965 ALSO IMPACTED BY Environmental Catastrophy Related To Mining Industry. Although there is Much Improvement Since, Nitra Continues to Be the Most Polluted River in Slovakia.
We Want to Point Out It Has Been OuT's intervention, Lack of Understanding and Negligence That LED to This Stage - And Also, That Can Be our Hom, Respect and Change of Attitude That Can Space for Healing and Regeneration. HAS HAD AND LONG TRADITION IN THE City of Prievidza and Surrounding Region, and There are Several Schools Teaching Diverse Dance Styles. We Feel That That Energy of the Local Community Already Investment In Dancing Can Beautifully Transformed into and Focused on the River and the Care It Needs.
~ with Our Attentive Movement, We Can Start Spinning and Positive Whirl to Cleanse Our Waters, Intentions and Relationships. ~
“River in us” (river in us) is an initiative of wo ~ Men Who Desire to Embody and Express The Qualities of Water and Wish to Re ~ Connect to the Natural Flow of Life. WE COME TO THE SHORE TO LET OUR BODIES AND VOICES BE MOVOV AND REALIGN with our Environment.
Following Our Individual and Collective Ceremonies Held from 2020 at Danube River Near Bratislava (Slovakia), We Will Continue and Widen Our Creative Discovery. With an event Held at River Nitra in Prievidza (Slovakia), We Will Join the Global Water Dances To Support Each Other in Raising the Tide of Awareness. and/or interested in the Qualities of Water and Related Issues. Sources of Pollution of the Streams. We will soak in inspiration from the situation that we find in natural as well as urban millieu and their intersects. Event. We Will Make Make Performance (s) of the Dance in Different Places in the Park, As Well As Offer Participatory Activities, Facilitated Dance Ceremony and Create Space for Connection and Sharing.
