Mr. Filip Halás, an oenologist from Vinařství U Kostela, will come to see us from Polešovice, Slovakia. Historically, winemaking continues the work of Cistercian monks, who established the first vineyards in Polešovice and thus shaped the landscape and local conditions. The first mentions of vine cultivation date back to 1454. The vineyards in Polešovice Terroir are located in undulating terrain adjacent to Chřiby. Both light aromatic wines, led by Moravian Muscat, and wines with a longer growing cycle such as Rhine Riesling or Sylvan Green are successful here.
