Since his breakthrough with the hit Cuddly Toy - a radio classic that has been played on radio stations for over three decades and climbed to number four in the charts in 1988 – ROACHFORD is one of the UK's most impressive and enduring rock and soul voices. He has released ten studio albums and several best-of collections, has been appreciated as a songwriter by greats such as Michael Jackson, Joss Stone and Chaka Khan and has toured regularly both solo and with contemporaries such as Terence Trent D'Arby and The Christians. For 15 years now, ROACHFORD has also been a permanent member of Mike + the Mechanics, with whom he performs and records worldwide. In 2019 he was awarded an MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) for his services to music. When asked by the Princess Royal what he actually does, he simply replied: “I try to evoke emotions in people through music.”
On his Germany tour in 2026, ROACHFORD will perform both his timeless hits from the 90s as well as songs from his current albums “Twice in a Lifetime” (2022) and “Then [&] Now” (2024). Fans can look forward to highlights such as “All The Love We Need” and the powerful ballad “Wonder Woman” together with Beverly Knight and produced by Jimmy Hogarth (Amy Winehouse, James Blunt).
