Robert Finley returns with Black Bayou, his third studio album for Easy Eye Sound, where the 69-year-old singer overflows with confidence and a voice that has aged like a refined Crowne Royal Deluxe. On this new album, Dan Auerbach returns as producer, accompanied by Black Keys member Patrick Carney and L. Garrett Dutton, Jr. (G-Love Special Sauce) on drums, as well as contributions from exceptional musicians Eric Deaton and Kenny Brown, as well as the participation of Finley's daughter and granddaughter on vocals. Together, they create a sonic exploration of menacing blues, swampy soul and raw funk, which showcases Finley as one of the last true bluesmen.

Black Bayou presents tales of travel , lovers in every port, and childhood stories from the Louisiana swamps, including a terrifying autobiographical account of being used as alligator bait as a child - all improvised with the recording in progress , sung in Robert's strong, marked voice, which growls and soars in his signature falsetto. A voice that allowed Robert to break through the noise and overcome years of difficulty and heartbreak. A man who lost his sight and became a rising star in his sixties. Discovered by Dan Auerbach, Robert Finley released his critically acclaimed album Goin' Platinum!, which landed him a spot on season 14 of America's Got Talent. Her second album, Sharecropper's Son, was a landmark success, landing her on the cover of SPIN Magazine, being featured on NPR Morning, and receiving other critical acclaim. He has since headlined concerts with the Black Keys, Greta Van Fleet, Nathaniel Rateliff and many others.
