Trip description
If there are treasures in the Grove, let's go after them! The tourist expedition to the Slovak Karst National Park will go to the village of Turňa nad Bodvou, where we can get from Košice by Gemeran train or individual transport. From the railway station, we will head towards the castle hill, where tourists using individual transport will join us at the Municipal Office.
On the castle hill, we will learn about the restoration and reconstruction of the castle, enjoy the views of the surrounding karst plains, and follow the yellow tourist sign to the Hájsky Waterfalls around the fairy-tale Veža na vlasku. Come to absorb spring energy in the awakening nature and strengthen friendships. We will responsibly lead your steps to relaxation, adventure and knowledge!
Meeting of participants: at 7:05 a.m., vestibule of the Košice railway station (on the right by the bistro), tourists with their own transport will join in Turni nad Bodvou in front of the Municipal Office (Moldavská cesta no. 419/49) at approximately 8:10 a.m.
Access to the meeting place: by train from Košice (direction Plešivec) at 7:22 a.m., arrival in Turne nad Bodvou at 7:52 a.m.
Length of route: 14.1 km
Elevation: 405 m
Time required: total time of walking without stops and rest breaks approx. 5 hours
Estimated return: to Košice by train from Turne nad Bodvou with leaving at 2:11 p.m. respectively 4:11 p.m. Arrival in Košice at 2:44 p.m. respectively at 4:44 p.m.
Košice Tourism Region and Košice Family Tourism Club have prepared a varied series of family tourism in the vicinity of Košice with a varied program combining visits to events, museums and fitness activities in autumn, winter and spring nature. Guiding services and activity management will be provided by the Košice Family Tourism Club - TOM KRTKO. Travel by public transport, entrance fees to monuments and refreshments are paid individually on the spot by trip participants.
