Description of the trip
We invite you to Valentine's Day hiking for the heart and soul! Join us for a romantic walk in nature that combines cardio with beautiful views. We are waiting for a dynamic route that will draw an absolutely ideal cardiogram curve on the graph, nicely up the hill and down again regularly, several times. Your little heart will thank you for this gymnastics. Our eyes will be delighted by the beautiful views from the observation decks, and at the last of them, a real touch of romance awaits us - a swing in the shape of a heart - just so that two can fit there and take a romantic picture. So don't hesitate, join us, celebrate Valentine's Day cardioactively!
Participant meeting: 7:05 a.m. in the vestibule of the train station in Košice, to the right of the entrance near the bistro, or the Gelnica mesto train station at 8:20 a.m. after the arrival of the train from Košice
Access to the meeting place: by train from Košice at 7:19 a.m. to Margecian, transfer in Margecany at 8:07 a.m., Gelnica - town at 8:17 a.m. Information for tourists with individual transport - the route does not end at its starting point!
Length of the route: 11.5 km
Elevation: 518 m
Time requirement: total time of walking without stops and rest breaks approx. 5 hours
Estimated return: by train from Žakaroviec at 1:45 p.m., or 3:45 p.m. to Margecian, transfer to the train to Košice at 14:03 or 3:59 p.m., arrival in Košice 2:40 p.m., resp. 4:35 p.m., or by bus from Žakarovce, departure at 2:30 p.m., arrival in Košice 3:53 p.m.
Košice Region Tourism and the Košice Family Tourism Club have prepared a varied series of family tours in the vicinity of Košice with a varied program combining visits to events, museums and fitness activities in autumn, winter and spring nature. Guiding services and activity management will be provided by the Košice Family Tourism Club - TOM KRTKO. Travel by public transport, entrance fees to monuments and refreshments are paid individually on the spot by trip participants.
