The webinar provides an overview of the legislative requirements from the point of view of the RoHS and WEEE (WEEE) directives.
Chemical management is the controlled management of information and the management of company activities in such a way as to ensure the fulfillment of the requirements of the RoHS and WEEE legislation in a way that provides predictability for the company's current and future production and business program.
RoHS is an abbreviation based on Directive 2011/65/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of June 8, 2011, on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. The abbreviation is based on the English name of this Directive, i.e. j. Restriction of the use of certain Hazardous Substances in electrical and electronic equipment.
WEEE is the European directive on waste from electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE).
The new package of measures for the circular economy, which will be approved by the European Parliament, contains also new goals of recycling, reduction of waste landfilling, prevention of waste generation. These strategies and plans also include the RoHS and WEEE directives.
