We invite you to the screening of the film The Year of the Widow with a discussion after the screening.
The film The Year of the Widow tells a story about courage, hope and the strength to start over after the death of a life partner. The feature film based on real events is a fragile and moving study of the grieving process in our contemporary world. Actress Pavla Beretová excels in the title role.
The screening will be followed by the presentation of the book by two young Australian women authors about the losses in our lives, NA ZDAR SMTKU (The Way Home 2024) and a discussion about the film The Year of the Widow and coping with the loss of a loved one.
Discussion participants: Veronika Lišková (director), Pavla Beretová (actress), Zuzana Pokorná (co-author of the theme), Petra Černá and Zuzana Koutná (employee of the Ways Home counseling center).
