About event
Romperayo brings their own pleasantly crazy and contemporary version of cumbia and other Colombian tropical rhythms. Their psychedelic yet danceable sound balances on the border between musical madness and genius. Romperayo emerges from the new Colombian music scene that reinterprets their own musical roots in a fascinating way. The basis lies in the traditional rhythms, which are wrapped in a contemporary coat of electronics, 70s psychedelics and musical humor. Similar to Meridian Brothers, Frente Cumbiero and Los Pirañas. The group has already played with great success at festivals such as Roskilde (DK), Fusion (D), Best Kept Secret, WTTV, Oerol, OFFest (MK) and FMM (P).
