No-nonsense hardcore speed noise
Mainstage | Ticket €14.00 In 2021, RONKER crawled out of the swamp soil of the Dender Valley like a four-headed monster. With their state-of-the-art speednoise, they traversed the underground, clubs and festivals in the Benelux for two years, building a solid live reputation. Energetic, angry and committed to connection.
After the initial headhunting, RONKER is now struggling with growing pains; What do you do if you just don't want to outgrow edge walking? Releasing a blast of a record of course!
'Fear is a Funny Thing Now Smile Like a Big Boy' or in short FIAFTNSLABB (pronounced Fiaftensjleub) is not only an ode to celebrating naivety, the album is deliberately kept very raw and playful. The band plays a kind of duplo-metal that opts for simplicity and a wide color palette. The record was released on May 10 and where RONKER's anger was previously internal, it is now a lot more extroverted and pronounced. In 2024 the band will promote the record how it can best do it: playing live . Hard, engaging, energetic and no-nonsense: RONKER only blows straight ahead.
