Rooting Resistance: taking rest after protest
Every other month there is an afternoon with meditation, dinner, a sharing circle and a music trip for people who committed to a better world 🙏🏽 We believe that in addition to activism (in whatever form) we sometimes need to take a break, and this sometimes works better in community.
“Without inner change there can be no outer change. Without collective change, no change matters.” - Angel Kyodo Williams.
"Caring for myself is not self-indulgence, it is self-preservation and that is an act of political warfare." - Audre Lord
Background:
To bring about change it is important to take care of yourself first; mentally, spiritually and physically. This way you prevent you from passing on fatigue, pain and frustration to your loved ones and those around you. In addition, it is important, especially for the givers in the world, to have a moment for yourself, to feel heard and connected to others and from there to regain your strength.
What do we do? ?
During the Community Gatherings we come together for an afternoon of meditation, a sharing circle and a sounds/music journey. The purpose of the Community Gatherings is to relax, get in touch with your body and heart and connect with others.

Every third Sunday of the month there is a mindfulness meditation, sharing, dinner and music journey for people who contribute to making a better world 🙏🏽We believe that next to activism (in whatever form it is) we also need to take a moment of rest, and this sometimes can be best done in community.
