An afternoon with French chansons through Duo Route Soleil!

For the third time this duo is on the podium of the new KHL and will again provide some surprises in addition to the well -known repertoire. "En route" with accordionist and pianist Jaap Somsen, singer Maaike Kitslaar and this time with guest violinist Ian de Jong. They play in their program "Take me" poetic texts of the chansons in French, but also in the Dutch translations of Maaike. A tango in between is not shunned.

The trio takes you to Brel's Brussels and Amsterdam, kicks on the "Bicyclette" of Montant over the mountain of Ferrat, and bumps into Chanteuse Barbara on one of her melancholic walks in Paris. "Dis, Quand Revientdras TU" or when will you come again?

Jaap and Maaike were the finalist in the De La Chanson competition in 2023 and were there with a song by Zaho de Sagazan in the Hallen Amsterdam. They were guests at festivals such as Weekend van de Romantic Music Rotterdam and in Chanson Series of, among others, the new KHL and the Torpedo Theater Amsterdam. Also a literary evening of Rob Kemps and his book about the Parisian Père Lachaise was allowed to count on their musical accompaniment.
