Thirteen -year -old boy, Přerov, zero years. An environment where everyone knows everyone, but closeness often means loneliness and anxiety rather than support. Missing father, silence of mother, authority of grandmother and grandfather. The germinating consciousness that you are different in an environment that does not accept you. Small town as a collective organism, the power that forms a person, as well as a source of trauma that stimulates the desire to escape. From fear you disappear away, to the city, but the past does not leave you. Return back scares you. Death grandfather forces you to return to places you wanted to leave forever. You have no choice. You may find that it is nothing, that you can simply overcome memories. Can you even escape from places that formed you? The memory is fragile and unreliable, but some moments remain red forever. Director Ondřej Štefaňák and author Marek Torčík share a similar life story: both grew up in small Moravian cities and both moved to Prague. The production is not just an intimate probe into one memory, but by testimony about the search for identity, the courage to tell your own story and fear of returning to places that creates and hurt you.
