On February 19, 2025 at 13:30, a member of the Bulgarian National Theater actor Rusi Čanev at the invitation of the Bulgarian Cultural Institute in Bratislava will present a new adaptation of the great novel Ivan Vazov under Jarma. Our guest will also be the cinema of the stands - director of the channel christo Botev - Bulgarian national radio. The host of literary reading is Mr. Nikolai Jordan - director of the Bulgarian school Christ Botev. The event will be held in the auditorium, in the presence of students, teachers and parents. Last year, the school celebrated 75th anniversary of its establishment. The event will take place under the auspices of J. E. Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria in the Slovak Republic Mr. Vassil Petkov.
This is an extensive initiative involving Bulgarian national radio, namely the program of the dramatic broadcasting of the Christo Botev channel, the East-West publishing house, the Bulgarian cultural institutes abroad and the Bulgarian School Association abroad. The ambition of the authors is to introduce Bulgarians abroad a densified, shortened version and emotionally direct storyline. In addition to the book edition, the new version is also spreading as an audio show, in the performance of Russia Čanev. On the recordings of the individual chapters of the novel he cooperated with the dramatic editorial office BNR. "The book is dedicated to Bulgarian children in the world"- informs the publishing house East-West and the Association of Bulgarian schools abroad. The book was illustrated by students of the National School of Fine Arts Ilja Petrov in Sofia. It is an extraordinary work to arouse interest in the work from under the yoke as a distinctive adventurous and attractive book. Because the conditions and way of life of people are different from a hundred years ago. The classic that is read in the original is difficult to understand today's youth, the intention of the authors is to create a rescue bridge for this important book of Bulgarian revival literature. Because it is a novel that makes a way of awareness of Bulgarian properness.
