Ružinov vzdeláva seniorov

Why were masks worn during carnivals, what was their meaning and which customs have survived to this day? Popular ethnologist Katarína Nádaská will provide answers to these questions at a lecture within the series Ružinov educates seniors. The event will offer an engaging look at carnivals as one of the most colorful and cheerful customs of our tradition.

The lecture will not only explain the historical origin of carnivals, but also their symbolism, fun side and place in the life of our ancestors. Seniors can look forward to an interesting talk, many examples from practice and a pleasant discussion that will connect the past with the present.

By car: In front of the Ružinov House of Culture, there is a regulated parking zone within the PAAS system (Bratislava parking assistant). Public transport: Ružinov Cultural Center (Ružinovská 28, Bratislava) is easily accessible by public transport. The building is served by bus lines no. 66, 96, 196 and night line N74, as well as tram no. 9. The nearest stops are "DK Ružinov" and "Tomášikova".

The House of Culture Ružinov is barrier-free. Both the Small and Great Halls are easily accessible for the disabled.
